Ambre is a Tulsa native and proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education, with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language, from Southern Nazarene University in 2001. She spent more than 11 years teaching students from fourth grade through high school in Tulsa, Bixby, Okmulgee, and Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Although her teaching career was thriving, Ambre felt called to explore new opportunities. Encouraged by a friend, she applied to the University of Tulsa College of Law and began her studies in the Fall 2018 semester. During law school, she was an active member of OutLaws, excelled in the Solo Practice Clinic, and contributed to briefs that helped secure asylum for a clinic client. She graduated a semester early in December 2020, passed the February 2021 bar exam, and began her legal career as a Fellow with the Tulsa Immigrant Resource Network. There, she managed a large humanitarian docket and celebrated significant client victories, including visas that led to U.S. citizenship.

Following her fellowship, Ambre became the Externship Director at the TU College of Law, where she supported students and attorneys in creating meaningful real-world learning experiences. She next joined Tulsa Lawyers for Children, practicing in Tulsa County’s Juvenile Deprived docket and represented foster children during challenging and uncertain times. The role strengthened her motion practice and trial advocacy skills.

Ambre has found her home at Diana Cupps Law, where she has flourished in the practice of family law. She is especially excited to continue developing her trial skills in this setting and values the firm’s commitment to strong, client-centered advocacy. In her free time, Ambre enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with her teenagers, and cuddling with her mini-dachshund, Scout, and her black cat, Ozzie.
